Merkley to continue raising money during special session

Oregon House Speaker, Jeff Merkley, announced today that he will be exempted from a House rule barring fundraising during the February special session.
Merkley says that he will not accept money from any Oregon lobby or political action committee registered in Oregon during the 1-month session.
Merkley has been a prolific fundraiser for FuturePac, the campaign committee of the Oregon House Democrats.
