Alexandra Dupre is a 22-year old woman from a broken home. She is also the woman that Elliott Spitzer paid several thousands of dollars per visit for "companionship".

The headline of this post isn't really fair. If it hadn't been Alexandra, Spitzer would have seen someone else.

Like Gary Hart before him, an emerging leader in the progressive movement of this country, a man whose name was synonymous with integrity, the prosecution of corporate criminals, and whose name was even floated as a potential vice-presidential running mate in 2008 is now a cautionary tale or future officeholders.
